Announcements (updated 4/24/08):

Thank you to everyone for an excellent 12U tryout.  It was very nice to see the great group of young softball talent coming up.  The 12U rosters are now posted.  You can find the rosters by clicking on the 12U Traveling link at the left and scrolling down to the bottom ROSTERS section.

Sorry for the delay in posting the 12U rosters.  The reason is that the 14U team has not been finalized, and the makeup of the 12U teams could be affected by this.  It will be closed in the next few days.  Thank you all for being patient.

The KM Elementary school fields have standing water today.  Therefore, the 12U tryouts will be held in the High School North gym.  Please pass the word out.

Based on the registrations for 12U traveling, we submitted two 12U teams for the Southern Minny league. Following are the teams and coaches that we registered.

12U Dazzling (Southern Minny, Tues. and Thurs. night games) - Malinda Madery
12U Blooming Stars (Southern Minny, Tues. and Thurs. night games) - Ashleigh Betha

We will be having tryouts rain or shine for the 12U teams on Sunday, April 20th from 3-5pm at either the KM Elementary school fields or the High School North gym. We have moved the tryouts to the backup date and later time because there are a number of volleyball tournament conflicts and soccer conflicts. Further, there are families in WI Dells on Friday and Saturday for wrestling.

The tryouts will determine which players will be on the Dazzling team vs. which will be on the Blooming Stars team. We need 1-5 more registrations to hit our target of 12-14 players per team maximum. Therefore, all registered players to date will be on one of the 12U teams, and the tryouts will only be used to determine who is on which 12U team.

Based on the registrations for 14U, 16U, and 18U traveling, we did not submit any of these teams to the Southern Minny League this year. Currently, we do not have enough players registered for either a 14U, 16U, or 18U team. In order to increase the number of players we will be submitting a varsity and junior varsity team to the Three Rivers League. This league only plays on Monday nights.

Therefore, we are still working on numbers for the summer varsity and junior varsity teams, and once we meet the 14 player maximum per team, then we will stop taking registrations. Therefore, there will be no tryouts for those teams on either Saturday, April 19th or Sunday, April 20th.

The registration deadline for 6th-12th grade Summer Softball Fun is April 23rd, 2008.

The registration deadline for 3rd-5th grade Little Lady Komets is April 23rd, 2008.
